Fall apart (Poem)
I'm holding all of me together as best I can,
Although there's a piece poking out longing for a man.
A man to hold close, press against his chest,
to rub my forehead, to lay with and rest.
A longing for somewhere to fall apart,
to laugh, to cry, to center, heart to heart.
Someone to say it's okay to be a mess.
It's okay to want to hide, it's okay to undress.
Undress yourself of all the masks and badges.
to fall, to burn and like a phoenix
rise from the ashes.
I want to be reminded that it's okay to fall apart,
to not be able to hold it all,
to throw everything out and restart.
